
Aggravating factors:
- Sleep deprivation and accumulated sleep deficit
- The existence of an untreated sleep disorder such as sleep apnea or insomnia
- Time of day, circadian rhythm low points in the afternoon or just before bedtime at 11:00/12:00
- Number of hours you have been awake anything after 17 hours, physical and mental performance declines.
- Use of alcohol or other specific types of medication

- Reduces the driver’s field of vision
- Increase the risk of drowsiness and sleepiness
